Mr. English is the Director of Bands at Feagin Mill Middle School (FMMS), a role he has held since 2020, contributing five years of middle school teaching experience. He is highly regarded for his high expectations, which effectively motivate students to achieve at advanced levels, and for his impressive ability to play every instrument he teaches. Under his direction, FMMS bands have consistently achieved superior ratings at Large Group Performance Evaluations. Before his tenure at FMMS, Mr. English successfully prepared a significant number of students for competitive placements in prestigious honor ensembles, including GMEA District, South Georgia Regional, and Georgia All-State Bands.
A proud Georgia native, Mr. English graduated from Mary Persons High School in 2009. He went on to earn his undergraduate degrees in Music Education and Music Performance from Columbus State University in 2013, where he studied trombone and participated in various recording projects. He furthered his education at Baylor University, pursuing graduate studies in Music Performance (trombone) with a full teaching assistantship. Mr. English is an active member of professional organizations such as the Georgia Music Educators Association, and he continues to contribute to the music community through his involvement in music directing shows at Theatre Macon and performing as a pianist.
